First impressions can be deceptive. On the exterior, this home resembles an old Southern plantation, but on the inside it is arranged for today's lifestyle. The main living area is open for family gatherings, with plenty of storage added to keep the clutter at bay.
Go upstairs and you have ample room including a private lounge for the kids. That's okay; the master suite also has a private lounge, office, nursery, or exercise area, depending on the owners' needs, and/or wants. Also included in the master suite are two closets, separate vanity sinks, and a private toilet area. On the other side of the wall there is another 1/2 bath and the laundry area, which leads into the kitchen. Take note of the plumbing: all of it is relatively close together for economy's sake. A garage could be added behind the house if your lot allows. It would not be hard to add a basement to this home either depending on the lot in question. It's just a matter of trading the storage area under the stair leading upstairs in exchange for a stair leading to an optional basement (plan revision required). This home has a lot of options to increase its flexibility. There is also plenty of room to add storage in the main roof trusses, which there again is a choice left to the owner. Just let your builder know that you would like to add this option.
You may have a hard time making your mind up with all of the available options you have with this plan. I left it simple for you to add to as you like and as your budget allows.
