This home is a version of plan 60208. The only real difference is the front roof line. Double punches on the front
elevation add a little more character to the home for those who don't mind spending a few extra bucks for added
curb appeal.
Otherwise, this plan offers the same features as its sister plan. You get the same two closets
(one of which is a generous walk-in closet), private dressing area and split bath in the master bedroom as is true
with the simpler version. Given the size of this home, it offers considerable storage space packed in a sensible
little floor plan. The open great room allows the family to socialize and is one reason more floor space is not
required, thus reducing the cost of construction and overall building maintenance.
Of course when privacy is required the bedrooms are set back and buffered by closets and bathrooms to allow just that...
privacy. The inset front entry allows guests and family members alike shelter from the rain as does the back porch,
which is big enough for a seat or two. It's always nice to have a place to remove shoes, set groceries, etc. before
coming into the house.
The stacked laundry unit at the rear entry is conveniently backed up to the bathroom plumbing, which in turn keeps
the costs of construction down.
An L-shaped kitchen offers a comfortable workstation with ample counter spaces between the fixtures to maintain practical working surfaces. In addition to the cabinet storage there is a large pantry to catch the overflow that tends to accumulate over the years. The center of the room allows space for a kitchen table without the need for a separate dining room.
Though small, this home will provide adequate shelter for those on a limited budget. After all, there is more to life
than making house payments.
